InterPoker and U.K. sports radio station, TalkSport, have announced the launch of "Mike Dickin's Poker Crazy," a new radio poker program created exclusively with the poker player in mind. The show made its debut to TalkSport's 2.2 million listening audience last Friday, January 20, at 10 p.m.
Designed to satisfy the ongoing need of poker players to discuss and analyze their game, the show will feature interviews with top players, tips on how to play, and a live phone-in segment where listeners can ask the experts for advice. Each show will discuss a different topic, such as "Tricks of the Trade," "Celebrity Poker," "New to Poker," and "Women in Poker." It will also broadcast the latest poker news from the United States.
Peter Marcus, InterPoker spokesperson, said "The poker phenomenon is continuing and our recent research shows that players and would-be players are wanting more information and advice on how to play. The aim of this radio feature and live phone-in, one of the first's for radio, is to provide this."
According to TalkSport's website, InterPoker is hosting a special promotional offer in honor of the new program, offering players the chance to win a laptop and InterPoker home poker sets by answering a simple question via SMS each week. In addition, all TalkSport listeners who sign-up on www.interpoker.com/talksport during the current promotional campaign will be entered into a special $1,000 freeroll tournament at InterPoker to take place on Sunday, February 26, at 3:15 p.m.
