Sam Minutello, SKC's director of poker operations, said in the Herald Tribune that the tournament already has more than 175 players registered, and they only have room for 250.

"All the players need to do is come in to One-Eyed Jacks to register. It's going to be a fun tournament, one we hope to continue to have every couple of months," Minutello said.

Gavin Smith could prove to be tough competition for the Pros vs. Joes tournament. He is coming off making the final table of the Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge IV main event, where he went out in fourth place.
