Full Tilt Poker Announces 2015 International Poker Tour

Full Tilt Poker

Full Tilt Poker announced today it will be the new, headline sponsor for the small-buy-in, big field International Poker Tour.

One of Europe’s oldest poker tours the IPO has a celebrated history of drawing huge fields to cities such as Dublin and London.

The first Full Tilt-backed IPO event will take place on May 22 at the Star Casino Bray just outside of Dublin.

The tournament is expected to draw a huge field despite a relatively small buy-in of $250.

Starting today players can qualify for any IPO Tour main event via daily satellites at Full Tilt for as little as $0.25.

IPO Features Stops in London, Cork, Killarney

The people behind Full Tilt were particularly impressed with how the IPO main event in Dublin drew over 1,600 entries last year.

“We’re very happy to put the Full Tilt stamp on an already-successful tournament series,” says Full Tilt’s Managing Director Dominic Mansour.

“With affordable buy-ins and satellites but big prize pools, we’re giving players of all levels a great live poker tournament experience, whatever their bankroll.

"Last year’s Dublin Main Event attracted over 1,600 entries for a €330,000 prize pool – our goal is to top those numbers by boosting online qualification."

The Full Tilt IPO tour already has plans for stops in Cork, London, Newcastle, Killarney, Limerick and Dublin but that schedule will be expanded further throughout the year.

Small buy-in tournaments have been growing exponentially over the last few years with huge events like the WPT500 and PokerListings’ own €550 buy-in Battle of Malta.

This summer may be the real tipping point for small buy-in events, however, as the WSOP is hosting its first-ever $565 gold bracelet tournament dubbed "The Colossus."
