The 2014 PartyPoker WPT Montreal Main Event is just two days away and the list of pros making their way north is growing.
With a $3,500 buy-in and massive fields already rolling into the Playground Poker Club for the prelims a very big prize pool is expected.
With big money comes big names and already eyeing up a deep run are regular Montreal visitors in Antonio Esfandiari, Jeff Gross and Jeff Madsen.
PokerListings' Most Inspiring Player for 2014, Shannon Shorr, has also tweeted his intentions to play and ESPN’s WSOP Main Event host Kara Scott will make her way up from Vegas.
PokerStars pro Jason Mercier will be there, high roller Jason Koon is in and newly crowned WSOP Main Event champion Martin Jacobson - another WPT Montreal regular - told Aftonbladet after his huge win that he's considering an appearance.
Jacobson's inclination might be swayed by the fact he has such a positive history in Montreal.
He finished second in the $10k High Roller for $119,625 at the Playground Poker Fall Classic last year and cashed in the main event back in 2012.
Local pros Jonathan Duhamel, Jonathan Roy, Marc-Andre Ladouceur, Marc-Etienne McLaughlin, Pascal LeFrancois can also be expected.
