Dwan durrrrs Ziigmund for $554k
Tom “durrrr” Dwan put an end to Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies' recent hot streak on Full Tilt Poker last night.
Dwan was extremely busy last night playing nearly 4,000 hands of everything from $50/$100 PLO to $1,500/$3,000 H.O.R.S.E.
The action really heated up when he started playing Sahamies at both $200/$400 and $500/$1,000 PLO with no cap.
The pair played 841 hands against each other with several absolutely gigantic pots raked. Ziigmund actually won the biggest pot when his turned a nut flush against Dwan. A total of $380k was sent to Ziigmund in that hand alone.
By the end of the session Dwan and Ziigmund owned nine of the top 10 biggest pots that were recorded in our online poker stats section last night.
Despite winning the biggest hand, Ziigmund was nowhere close to winning the session. In fact the swingy Finn lost $554k to Dwan over their four-hour session.
The session marked the end of a Ziigmund winning streak that saw him win $1.2 million from Cole South over the last two weeks.
Meanwhile Tom Dwan is once again the biggest winner of 2010 with $4.1 million. His nemesis jungleman12 is in second place with $3.6 million.
Some of the other big winners from last night included DrugsOrMe (+$272k), Gus Hansen (+$136k) and LokoIsBack ($121k).
Cole South’s troubles continued as he lost $242k. Another former CardRunners instructor, Brian “sbrugby” Townsend, lost $218k and theASHMAN103 dropped $121k.
Last night railbirds also had the rare opportunity to witness some Luke “FullFlush” Schwartz action.
