Dwan busts martonas?
After last night's frenzy of high-stakes action on Full Tilt, it appears recent action junkie martonas may have lost his last huge pot.
The $300/$600 PLO tables were full of familiar names last night, but it was Tom "durrrr" Dwan and Phil "OMGClayAiken" Galfond who cut the table to pieces.
Dwan left the session with a profit of $1 million, while Galfond came in just behind at $821k.
Galfond made most of his profit ($581k) from the $500/$1,000 No-Limit Hold'em tables, but his final $240k came mostly from martonas at PLO.
It was martonas who shouldered the majority of the Dwan/Galfond winnings ending the night down just under $1 million.
With this latest win Dwan is showing a profit of close to $2.5 million in just three days, the majority of that profit coming almost exclusively from martonas.
After two weeks of heavy action, it looks as if martonas is back to where he started, without a multi-million dollar roll.
Although it's possible he will take another run at the nose-bleed stakes, it's doubtful he has enough funds in his account to take a seat at the big games without first running up his roll at some smaller stakes.
Other players that were deep in the red after last night include Ashton "theASHMAN103" Griffin, down $415k, and online heartthrob Patrik Antonius who dumped $373k.
You can watch the three largest pots of the night in the players below, or head to MarketPulse to see all the largest pots of the session.

2009-10-05The guy lost 2.5 million playing the biggest games online every night, always buying in for the max.
Then he randomly starts buying in for $65k after losing $1 milllion. He loses that, and doesn't play again for over a month.
So if he wasn't bust, and had a $4 million dollar roll, I apologize. He's back playing again now, but still no one knows who he is or where he got his money.
Even if he still had money in his account, losing $2.5 million in 9 days... that's more busto than I'll ever be (since I'll never have the $2.5 mil to lose)

2009-10-04So if someone short stacks, they are down to the dregs, and if they are down to the dregs, they are bust?
If the guy loses 65K... and he buys in for multiples of that... how is he close to bust?
You should really apologise...

2009-08-24A reporter is only as good as his source, I don't even want to know what that makes me.
I'm not sure how much money martonas started with in his account, but since he has showed up in the high-stakes world, until now, he is down a total of $65k.
Since I have no idea how much money he deposited in the first place, I have no way to know that he's bust. but considering he's been short stacking the tables lately, it appears as if he's getting down the the dregs.

2009-08-23I have no idea if it is the real 'Martonas' writing above, but I have to agree with the criticism - could we as readers of this 'news' please be informed as to how you know Martonas has been 'busted' - the article provides nothing in the way of evidence for this, so it would be nice to know if you have sources inside FullTilt informing of people's account balances or how you know this - which you should know in order to write an article with this angle; otherwise it would just be making up a story from thin air....

Question is...if you know mine...what is Tom Dwan's, Phil Ivey's and Gus Hansen's?
