durrrr Challenge: A Small Step for Antonius

Patrik Antonius
Patrik Antonius gained a little ground in the durrrr Challenge yesterday.

After a month and a half of waiting, the latest session of the durrrr Challenge went down on Full Tilt last night with Patrik Antonius coming out on top.

The match started yesterday at around 1 p.m. ET and continued for a whopping 8.5 hours. This 2,677 hand session puts the Challenge right back on track with an end slowly coming into view.

A total of four pots worth over $200k were played, the largest coming in at $273,393.

This pot saw all the money get into the middle on the flop with Dwan holding a set of sevens and Antonius on an over-pair of queens and the diamond flush draw.

The turn paired the board with a jack, giving Dwan a full house, making the diamond on the river irrelevant. Dwan took the massive pot with sevens full of jacks.

Despite losing the largest pot of the match, Antonius was able to keep himself in the game by winning both the second and third largest pots, coming out of the session up $60,696.

With 2,677 hands now added to the running total, the Challenge has reached 35,980 hands played and is 72% complete.

As it stands now, Dwan has a stranglehold on the match, up $1,815,092.

With Antonius finally within a single session of breaking even for profit on the year, one would expect to see more challenge sessions over the next few weeks.

At present, there is a discrepancy between the numbers provided by PokerListings own durrrr Challenge tracking software and those that appear on Full Tilt's website for last night's session.

According to Full Tilt, the two played just 207 hands with Patrik Antonius booking a $92,709 win in just under three hours.
