In today’s Daily 3-Bet we’ll take a look at some serious buzz for the WSOP Colossus II, odds for the 2016 SCOOP and Griffin Benger donning the costume of a famous Star Wars villain.

1) WSOP Colossus Frenzy

The $565 buy-in, $7m-GTD WSOP Colossus II is going to be big. That much is guaranteed. But just how big?

cash money
Gonna be a lot of this.

Yesterday players were briefly unable to register for Day 1a of the epic tournament. The reason? No more seats.

Fortunately WSOP TD was able to add some more and you can once again buy a ticket into the tournament but you might want to hurry.

Keep in mind that these days the WSOP has capacity for around 5,000 runners so the fact Day 1a is nearing a sell-out is absolutely bonkers.

Does that mean we’ll see the 22,374-entry record from last year’s Colossus fall? It sure looks that way.

On the other hand if you’re a seasoned pro who hates big-field NLHE events then be sure to stay the hell away from the Rio on June 2-4.

2) Mercier Leads BetStars Odds for SCOOP

Want to take a crack at the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker but have no actual poker skills to speak of?

You could always ride the coattails of someone that does.

BetStars, that’s PokerStars official betting client, released their odds from market launch this week. You can place bets on who will be the Team PokerStars SCOOP leaderboard winner.

You can view the odds, thanks to PokerStars’ Michael Josem right here:

So wait, that means you’ll be using the PokerStars betting client to place wagers on which Team PokerStars Pros will succeed in the PokerStars SCOOP? That’s a lot of PokerStars!

3) Darth Vader is #Griffening

So May 4 has developed into a Star Wars day and that usually means a bunch of terrible Star Wars-related jokes and memes on social media.

We have to admit we didn’t mind Griffin Benger’s turn as Darth Vader on the GPL broadcast yesterday, however.

Bonus points to Sam Grafton for keeping a straight face:
