Full Review
Bodog Poker has always been one of the edgier poker rooms out there with aggressive marketing, a young team of pros including David Williams, Evelyn Ng and Justin Bonomo and a very recurring "high roller VIP" theme.
Originally (and still primarily) a sportsbook, Bodog Poker has been operating since 2004 and despite some slips along the way appears to be holding steady with a top 15 market share of player traffic. As an added bonus, the player base is mostly recruited through the sportsbook and casino, making a large portion of the players beginners and relatively easy to beat.
The software is fast, offers nice graphics and functionality and has great playability. It also offers some particularly innovative functions, such as a four-in-one mode where four tables can be viewed and played in the same window.
Unlike some rooms, Bodog Poker also offers the full assortment of poker variations with Hold’em, Pot-Limit Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card Stud, Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo and even Five-Stud available.
Overall, Bodog Poker still offers its core players what they're looking for - loose games, a hip attitude and great software that's fast and plays well - so it'll likely hold steady for awhile -maybe even start to grow again.

Loyalty Bonus/Promotions
Bodog Poker offers a loyalty system allowing all new players to start with 50 points. The points can be used in tournaments with real cash prizes. Players can accumulate Bodog Poker points three ways: contributing to a pot that is raked in ring games, playing in tournaments, and with overall time spent playing.

Tournaments and Freerolls (7)
Bodog Poker hosts a ton of tournaments every day with buy-ins ranging from $1 all the way up to several hundred dollars. For the most part tournaments are busy, fast and offer good structures. As usual, players in the low buy-in tournaments are quite bad while the bigger tournaments offer some stronger competition.
Bodog Poker is most famous for its $100 buy-in, $100,000 guaranteed tournament - an event praised for its good structure. Other tournaments where players can win big for small buy-ins are the World Poker Tour and World Series of Poker qualifiers.
Bodog Poker offers plenty of free or almost-free tournaments also. The freerolls are mostly large multi-table No-Limit Hold'em tournaments and feature, as expected, exceptionally loose play.
Every day Bodog Poker runs $1,500 in guaranteed freerolls as an easy way to build your bankroll from scratch and they are immensely popular. There are also plenty of tournaments that can be entered using Bodog Poker Player Points
Multi-table and sit-and-go tournaments entered with points usually pay out in tournament tokens or points

Software and Graphics (8)
Bodog Poker has full-featured software offering with a slick, dark theme that aims to cater to the high-stakes lifestyle. The software runs fast and smooth with good playability and a variety of options to customize your playing experience.
The overall aesthetic at Bodog Poker is polarizing but most players seem to enjoy the swanky style of the room. The latest version of Bodog Poker's software supports play at four tables simultaneously where the player is always seated in the middle.
Players can view all four tables in the same screen and actually play the mini view tables while having one main game up on the big screen, or play all with all the windows full size as most sites offer. Multi-table play is easy and smooth and works well with the statistics tools available. One thing to keep your eye on while playing several tables at once is the amount of money shown in the main window. The amount does not automatically update, but you can refresh it manually.
Unique to Bodog is it no longer uses the classic "table" design; instead players get the feeling of "floating" on a big carpet of felt in the color of choice (a new design about which PokerListings has received various judgments). The look is swanky and different. Some like it, some hate it, but what remains true is that Bodog Poker always tries to stay ahead of the pack.
Overall, the software is solid and offers a little extra for players wanting to customize it. For a direct and free Bodog Poker download, click the download link above.

Soft Competition (7)
The traffic is at its greatest at the lower stakes and the games vary from standard to very loose, frequently with a viewed-flop percentage reaching upwards of 50%-60%. This translates to juicy and loose games for the small-stakes player. In addition, you can normally find quite profitable No-Limit Hold'em games up to the $5/$10 limits.
