Inaugurated in 2020 PokerListings awards the best Poker Operators of the year and presents the pack leaders in the industry. We kick off this year's awards with the first nominees and present the 4 nominated operators in the category Best Software for Beginners.

Best Software for Beginners
Which poker operator provides the ideal environment for players who are brand-new to the game?
This award goes to the poker operator with the best product for rookie players. And also, does the best job attracting new online poker players.
New players and recreational players are the backbone of a healthy poker ecosystem. So a good poker operator knows that and makes sure that their software and poker games are tailored towards non-professional players, and not just the more experienced.
For the PokerListings Operator Awards: Best for Beginners category, we have four nominees this year: 888poker, Unibet, Pokio and Tiger Gaming.
Winner: 888poker

For many years 888poker has done a tremendous job, acquiring new players and promoting poker as a recreational game. 888poker offers a true no-deposit bonus, freeroll promotions worth hundreds of thousands dollars each quarter and a software which is easy to understand and navigate. While being one of the oldest online poker operators 888poker certainly is one of the best for newbies.
Nominees: Best Poker Operator for Beginners
Unibet

The small Scandinavian poker operator Unibet was one of the first poker sites to fully embrace a recreational-player-first-policy. The entire gaming experience at Unibet feels like an adventure game with poker challenges.
With the lowest rake across all poker sites, an easy to clear welcome bonus and soft games Unibet is a prime address for all players new to the game of poker.
Tiger Gaming

Tiger Gaming is a surprise hit for new and recreational players. While the software might be unremarkable at first glance, it's easy to navigate, pleasing to the eye and offers all the games recreational poker players want.
On top of that Tiger Gaming offers the softest low stakes games of all online operators which makes it a perfect operator for recreational players.
Pokio

Pokio is mobile only poker provider. The app is free and players can join poker clubs to compete in virtual home games with their friends in cash games and tournaments.
The app is easy to use, fully licensed by the MGA and safe to use. Most importantly most players on this app are recreational players and no seasoned pros which is why Pokio is a fantastic option for new players.
How the Awards Process Works
The PokerListings editorial team has worked in the online poker business for decades and here we’re presenting the PokerListings Operator Awards - casting a spotlight on the most deserving in the business.
1. Nominations
Throughout the month of November and December, our PokerListings experts present the shortlisted nominees in several different categories: Best for Beginners, Best for Grinders, Best Online Series, Best Overall Software, Innovation of the Year, Poker Operator of the Year, and finally the PokerListings Players' Favorite.
2. Voting
During this Nomination period in December all PokerListings players can vote for our category: Your favorite poker operator of them all. We'll provide results on both outlets as well as our Player Favorite page - along with the other category results.
3. Winners
After a long deliberation throughout this month, we will announce the winners on all our channels at the end of December. Our winners will also be contacted and provided with their badge of honor as this year's winners.
