Grand Event by the Numbers

The Grand Event attracted 1,326 entries with 357 Day 2 survivors. This generated a massive €636,480 prize pool to smash the event's €500,000 guarantee.

Day 2 will kick off with blinds at 3,000/5,000 with a big blind ante of 5,000. Blinds will increase every 50 minutes instead of every 40 minutes (or 20 minutes for the turbo flight) giving players more time to make the correct decisions.

The fluid plan for Day 2 is to play either 13 or 14 blind levels. This is subject to change and the MPF tournament director Danilo De Berardinis informed PokerListings that he will announce the structure of the day before the dinner break updated plan.

Best of luck to everyone playing. Cards are in the air at 1 p.m. CEST. Stay tuned at PokerListings for all of your updates on the MPF Grand Event.
