Poker pros love to play the Sunday majors and poker rooms love it if their team pros win.
888poker and Dominik Nitsche are likely all smiles today, then, as Nitsche took down yet another major online prize for him and Team 888 yesterday.
The German team pro took down The Octopus, beating 110 players along the way and streaming it live on Twitch with commentary as an added bonus.
Nitsche Wrestles Octopus
If you're looking for a Team pro to to bag a big Sunday tournament, Dominik Nitsche is one of your safest bets.
Dom does it.
This past Sunday night, after a little more than nine hours of play, Nitsche won the last hand of the $215 buy-in tournament.
He cashed $7,742 for his win -- not the biggest score of his career, sure, but a nice one to take down while live streaming on Twitch.
As it played out the final three battled it out for a while three-handed before two implosions gave Nitsche the title in three hands.
First, one of his opponents ran an ill-timed bluff against Nitsche’s full house.
In the next hand the other opponent made a bad call. And in the first hand heads-up, Nitsche just got lucky.
Runners-up Bumbi320 and OO6007 still took home nice circa $5k scores themselves. Watch the full Octopus final table complete with Nitsche’s usual on-point commentary below:
