The name of the legendary Horseshoe Casino will return to Las Vegas this year after a long absence. This summer, the World Series of Poker will once again be hosted at the Horseshoe.

From 1970 to 2004, the WSOP was held at the Horseshoe Casino. The casino, then run by Benny Binion, owned and hosted the WSOP before the brand and tournament series was sold to Harrah’s Entertainment in 2004. Two years ago, the WSOP was sold to Caesars Entertainment.

Since 2005, the Rio Hotel and Casino was the venue for the WSOP. The farewell to the Rio was announced during the last season of the WSOP. The new venue will be the former Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel & Casino.

The new home of the World Series of Poker on the Las Vegas Strip is getting a complete makeover ahead of the most important live poker series of the year. Renovation work will begin at Bally’s in spring 2022 and the resort will be given a new – familiar – name – Horseshoe Casino Las Vegas – as part of the renovation.
