Luxon Pay to Partner with The Festival Series for the MPP Cyprus
This summer Luxon Pay will be sponsoring one of the biggest poker events in Europe. The Luxon Pay Mediterranean Poker Party in Cyprus will run from August 19 to September 19. Our sister brand The Festival Series will be part of this poker party and as co-organizer they will provide two special mixed games, bringing variety to the event.
Details About the Mediterranean Poker Party
The Mediterranean Poker Party (or MPP for short) will take place in Northern Cyprus and will host numerous tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $550 to over $200,000. The main tournament of the event is the $5,300 Main Event with a guaranteed prize pool of $5,000,000.
The Luxon Pay Mediterranean Poker Party kicks off with the $1,100 MPP Open, which guarantees $1,000,000, starting August 19. Next up is the MPP Warm Up, a $2,200 tournament with a $2,000,000 guaranteed prize pool from August 26 - 30. The $5,300 MPP Main Event guarantees a whopping $5,000,000 starting August 29 and running until September 3.
Another exciting tournament on the MPP schedule is the $10,000 One Drop Event. This will take place August 28 - 29 and is similar to the Little One for One Drop at the WSOP. The tournament allows unlimited re-entries a special feature. For a donation of $1,111 to the One Drop foundation, the starting stack doubles from 20,000 to 40,000 chips.
The MPP begins on August 19 and runs through September 19. In the last two weeks, the Triton Poker Series Cyprus will take place - a high roller series with buy-ins up to over $200,000. All tournaments will take place at the newly opened Merit Royal Diamond Hotel. The 5-star hotel has one of the largest poker rooms in Europe with room for up to 200 tables.
The Festival Series Bringing Mixed Games to the MPP
The Festival Series will host two tournaments at the Luxon Pay Mediterranean Poker Party. These are two mixed-game events that will bring variety to the tournament schedule.
On September 3, the MPP will host the TheFestival.com PLO 4/5/6 Event with a buy-in of $1,100. Three Omaha variants will be played in this tournament: Regular PLO, 5-card PLO and 6-card PLO. The following day, on September 4, the MPP will host the TheFestival.com H.O.R.S.E. Tournament with a buy-in of $550 - in this event Hold'em, Omaha, Razz, Stud and Omaha Hi-Lo will be played.
The buy-ins at the Mediterranean Poker Party are quite a bit higher than the buy-ins at the Festival Series. In any case, The Festival's tournaments at the MPP will bring the mixed-game feeling to Cyprus, ensuring plenty of variety at the tables.
