Kings of Tallinn – All the Way

Kings of Tallinn – All the Way

Let’s go back in time with Kings of Tallinn and find out more about the existence of this eventful series of the Baltics. For years they have shown to be a true competitor for one of Europeans finest live poker series, but how they initially started their great concept? And who were the initiators of all this? Which key personalities helped to get KoT to become the KoT like it is now? We will nosedive into the history together with all our readers.

Once upon a time….. Former Casino Director of Olympic Casino Risto Suurpold and current Tournament Director Teresa Nousiainen were sitting down together and came up with the idea of starting to organize a great tournament for the poker community of the Baltics. They came up with the name Kings of Tallinn and decided from the get-go that this event must be a ‘tribute to all poker players’. It always has been the aorta of the whole week, to have a schedule based on player’s needs and wishes. Based upon their feedback, the event series became to what it currently, and always, stands for. Because of this approach, you can expect every following year, great new stuff added to the schedule.

Happy player at Kings of Tallinn.

What Do We Know About the Most Important Tournament of a Poker Series, Namely the Main Event?

The Main Event of Kings of Tallinn came first to ligt in 2015 and had a very decent player field, topping 140 entries up until the COVID-19 saga, they always managed to attract more players as previous editions. Somewhat, which only can be respected inside out. It has not always had a guaranteed prize pool as they have now, just from 2020 they started with offering a guaranteed prize pool of €500,000. A prize pool which they guaranteed just once, until this year, where they will offer again this extraordinary amount for the Main Event.
