DJ Khaled to Close Out Global Poker Celebrity Challenge
One of the greatest thing about poker is that it brings people together. It is one of not too many opportunities for the average Joe to sit down at a table next to a potential childhood idol or a lifetime legend. When it comes to celebrities and poker, we’ve seen quite a few stars enjoying the game throughout the years: Matt Damon, Jason Alexander, Neymar Jr., etc.
During the last couple of weeks, not only have Global Poker provided their players with the opportunity to play with four absolute virtuosos within their respective field, but also treated the poker community with interesting Heads Up-battles the celebrities between. Yes, we have indeed enjoyed following the Global Poker Celebrity Challenge, and now, DJ Khaled will begin the end of what has been an incredible campaign!
DJ Khaled Is Ready to Rumble!
“I don’t know if you could take it” is the opening line in DJ Khaled’s well-renowned track “Wild Thoughts”. The question is; will he ask his opponents on Global Poker the next days the same thing? October 31st-November 7th, eight qualifiers will be played on Global Poker, with the Buy-In of 3,3 Sweeps Coins.
One player from each of these will advance to the DJ Khaled Celebrity Challenge Final, which will be played November 8th. That tournament will be played 9-handed with DJ Khaled himself taking the 9th place. The player who manages to win the DJ Khaled Celebrity Challenge Final, will advance to the Global Poker Celebrity Challenge Grand Final, November 12th.

Heads up for Charity Against Paul George
Not only are we looking forward to the DJ Khaled Celebrity Challenge. We’re also treated with an interesting Heads Up between the award-winning musician and legendary basketball player Paul George. The winner will donate $10 000 to the foundation of their choice, financed by Global Poker. If winning, DJ Khaled will consider donating the money to his own foundation, the We the Best Foundation:
“It means a lot for us to help empower others to learn and grow, including supporting those with passions in areas like music or STEAM through our different initiatives.”

They have also played a series of Heads Up-matches against each other, where the winner has been given the opportunity to donate to the foundation of his choice.
