ClubWPT Gold Takes the Season With New Summer of Gold Series

The 2026 season has been nothing short of eventful for ClubWPT Gold — from a complete ban on sweepstakes poker in California at the beginning of the year to the World Poker Tour operator rebranding itself as a poker training platform. Now, ClubWPT Gold decided to go head to head with the 2026 World Series of Poker, announcing its Summer of Gold series set from May24 to June 28.

Here is what we know so far.

Summer of Gold Series Overview (So Far)

  • Series: Summer of Gold
  • Dates: May 24 – June 28
  • Tournament GTD: $50 million in chips
  • Events: 76 Crown Series events, four WPT events and six Gold Millions

A Summer of Gold in Context

The Summer of Gold announcement came via X (formerly Twitter) on Monday night:

While ClubWPT Gold decided to keep the full schedule under wraps, they gave us a few breadcrumbs to work with.

The majority of the schedule will be composed of Crown events, 76 in total, which debuted earlier this season as part of the Crown Series on ClubWPT Gold. The 33-event April tournament was build around a Crown Championship, which came with 1,500,000 GTD — meaning there could be a lot to play for this summer.

As for the six Gold Millions events on the schedule, these traditionally come with a 1,00,000 GTD attached to them. Apart from that, there is four more WPT events promised in the announcement, but so far no more details have emerged.

While we wait for ClubWPT Gold to give us something more to work with, one thing is for sure — the operator wasn’t shy about is the fact that its series was going head to head with the 2026 WSOP, which kicks off May 26. As the announcement said:

ClubWPT Gold

Let them have the Strip, we’ll take the summer.

All this is promising another unforgettable poker season and we’ll be here to keep you in the loop.
