Global Crazy Freerolls postponed to October 1

WPT Global announced a series of freerolls with a total prize pool of $2M for August–September but couldn’t handle the server load. Therefore, the promotion has been rescheduled to October 1. You can read more about it here.

The prize pool for the regular promotions remains the same as last month, but there’s a catch. Payouts for the top spots on the leaderboards have been cut in half, while the number of paid places has increased.

Points are awarded depending on the size of the buy-in for participation and for winning. For example: in a €10 tournament, 10 points are awarded for participation and 10 points for victory, in a €20 tournament, 20 points are awarded for participation and 20 for victory, etc. Prizes are awarded in Twister tickets.

$25K GTD Monthly Lottery

To participate, you must complete any of the tasks.

  • Make a deposit from $10 / €10 / ₽700 / ¥60 / ₴250.

The series will run from September 7 to 29, featuring 125 tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $2 to $5K.

Tournaments are divided into three categories: Low, Medium, and High. Each category has its own Main Event on September 28:

  • $10 CSOP #115-L: Main Event $10K GTD
  • $50 CSOP #115-M: Main Event $50K GTD
  • $500 CSOP #115-H: Main Event $200K GTD

Three leaderboards with a total prize pool of $50,000 are added to the series:

$30K Volume Challenge

Play more than 40% of tournaments in one category (at least 50 tournaments) and receive a ticket to a special tournament on October 5:

The 5-card PLO tables feature a Bad Beat Jackpot for losing a hand with a combination of four eights or higher. At least 4 players must be involved in the hand, and it must reach showdown.

The current Bad Beat Jackpot prize pool exceeds $1,000,000. This is the combined prize pool for cash game players in NLHE, PLO, and 5-card PLO.

The Bad Beat Jackpot also continues to apply at NLHE and PLO tables:

  • NLHE — triggers on a losing hand with AAAJJ or better
  • PLO — triggers on 2222x or better

Key conditions:

  • The hand must go to showdown.
  • Both the winning and losing players must use both of their hole cards to make their hand.
  • If the losing hand is four of a kind, the player must hold a pocket pair.
  • The hand must involve 4 or more players.
  • If the board is run multiple times, only the first run counts for the Bad Beat Jackpot.
  • Any player involved in the hand that triggers the jackpot must remain at the table until the hand is completed to be eligible.
