Triton Montenegro News: Daniel Dvoress And Anatoly Zlotnikov Win The First Two Events

The Triton Montenegro series kicked off on May 13 and will run through May 28. Here are the stories of the first two winners: Daniel Dvoress and Anatoly Zlotnikov.

Daniel Dvoress Finally Completes The “Triton Trident” By Winning The $25K Golden Decade ($849K)

The “Triton Trident” means winning three events in NLHE, PLO, and Short Deck.

Before this tournament, Dvoress had already picked up two Short Deck titles and one PLO title. But he still had no wins in his main game, Hold’em. A year ago, Dvoress reached heads-up in the same event but lost the title to Xuan Liu.

This time, the Canadian finally got it done.

He started the final table second in chips. To his right sat chip leader Dejan Kaladjurdjevic, who controlled the action throughout the table.

Eventually, Dvoress entered heads-up play with 71 BB against Kaladjurdjevic’s 51 BB. Watch the final hand on Twitter. Effective stack: 25 BB, limped pot.

Anatoly Zlotnikov Wins The $25K Triton NLH 8-Handed

Anatoly “LEGENDA” Zlotnikov entered the 9-max final table with the third stack and confidently steamrolled the table.

At 8-max, Anatoly pulled off a bluff against Mikita Badziakouski.
Effective stack: 17 BB. Badziakouski opened from UTG+2 with K 9 , while Zlotnikov defended the BB with A 3 . Board: 5 3 10 9 6 . On the flop, Badziakouski bet 4 BB into 5.5 BB and Zlotnikov called. Turn went check-check. River: Zlotnikov shoved. Badziakouski tanked for three minutes, repeatedly reaching for calling chips before grabbing his cards to fold instead. Zlotnikov showed three.

In 8th place, Zlotnikov eliminated Ethan “Rampage” Yau — watch the video on Twitter.
