PokerStars offers an exclusive satellite for their upcoming Winter Series for all PokerListings players giving away five tickets worth $109 each. The satellite will be held on the 26th of December and has a buy-in of only $1.

With Christmas around the corner the days are becoming shorter and the evenings longer. Like every year during this time the online poker tables are buzzing with action. For PokerStars it has become a yearly tradition to offer special tournaments and events around Christmas, New Year’s, and the early January. After hosting a huge Winter Series with 240 events last year, PokerStars will host another Winter Series this year with even bigger guarantees.

This year’s Winter Series will run from December 25th until January 13th. The full schedule and details are below.

About the Winter Series

PokerStars Winter Series 2019 - 2020

Last year the Winter Series at PokerStars guaranteed $40 million across 240 different events. The buy-ins ranged from $2.20 up to $2.100.

In total over $51 million were awarded to the players on the international client and another $22 million on the West European PokerStars client (France, Spain and Portugal).

This year PokerStars up the ante and guarantees $50 Million across 240 tournaments. This year all tournaments will come in three buy-in options: low, mid and high. The los tournaments start at $5.50 buy-in and the most expensive high events have a buy-in of $5.200.

The highlights of this year's Winter Series are:

  • $2.5m gtd. Phase Event: Starting December 17th players can play the first event of the Winter Series, a $109 event. You have to qualify for Phase 2 on Jan 12th where a prize pool of $2.5m will be distributed among the players.
  • $3m Sunday Million: On Sunday the 29th December the Sunday Million will come with a guarantee of $3 Million - the biggest event of the Winter Series. This event will not have a low or high counterpart, but only be available with a $215 buy-in.
  • $4.5m gtd. Main Events: The Main Event will be held on Sunday, January 12th. The three Main Events will have buy-ins of $55, $530 and $5,200 and guarantee $1m, $1.5m and $2m.
