The 2022 SCOOP Awarding $4.5M GTD Across Michigan, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania
Ever since its launch in 2009, the Spring Championship of Online Poker (SCOOP) has brought tons of excitement along with huge prizes at PokerStars.
Things are about to get more exciting for players in the United States as for the first time PokerStars will be hosting three simultaneous SCOOP festivals at PokerStars New Jersey, PokerStars Michigan, and PokerStars Pennsylvania.
The 2022 SCOOP is a can’t miss affair for any poker enthusiast with $4.5 million in combined guaranteed prize pools across 345 tournaments from March 25 until April 11. The individual festivals in each state will feature at least 35 events broken out into low, medium, and high tiers with guarantees ranging from $1 million to $2.5 million per state.
You don’t have to live in these states to get in on the action. However, you do need to be at least 21 years of age and be present in either Michigan, New Jersey, or Pennsylvania if wanting to compete in the SCOOP festivals hosted by PokerStars in these states.

2022 USA SCOOP Highlights
The highlight of the three SCOOP festivals is the two-day $300 Main Event on April 10-11. Each of the Main Events boasts amazing guarantees ranging from $100,000 to $200,000.
- PokerStars Michigan SCOOP Main Event - $200,000 GTD
- PokerStars New Jersey SCOOP Main Event - $100,000 GTD
- PokerStars Pennsylvania SCOOP Main Event - $150,000 GTD
Other highlights include a $50 Mini Main Event and a $1,000 High Roller Main Event
2022 USA SCOOP on a Budget
Don’t worry if you aren’t a high roller as players with all bankroll sizes will have a chance to score a SCOOP trophy. With buy-ins as low as $10, the 2022 SCOOP has something for everyone.
This doesn’t mean players on a budget can’t aim for the stars as well with plenty of cheap, and even free paths to get into bigger buy-in events including the $300 Main Event.
One option is to take the traditional path of playing qualifiers that start out at just $1. For those that prefer a quicker thrill, PokerStars is also hosting $3 Spin & Go’s that can potentially award a $300 Main Event seat.
Additionally, PokerStars is hosting Depositor Freerolls awarding a combined $48,000 in SCOOP tickets that are already running now. While this is free, you will need to deposit at PokerStars in order to earn your ticket.
You can also get into SCOOP events for free with SCOOP Second Chance Freerolls awarding between $500 to $1,000 in tickets each for those that don’t make the money in a SCOOP event the previous day.
