Isildur1 Invited to PartyPoker Big Game

Tony G has offered to stake Isildur1 in the Big Game IV.

PartyPoker and Matchroom Sport have announced the dates and location for the Big Game IV.

The legendary cash game is set for Apr. 11-13 at the Les Ambassadeurs club in Mayfair, London and will feature some of the game's top rounders.

Already confirmed are Team Party's Tony G, Premier League IV runner-up Luke "Full Flush" Schwartz, World Open V champion Phil Laak, Isaac Haxton, Neil Channing, Laurence Grondin and Jennifer Tilly.

Organizers claim more big names will follow, including a possible appearance by unknown Swedish online cash game legend Isildur1, who Tony G has offered to stake in the game.

"We have been in contact with Isildur1 and would love him to join the game," said Matchroom Sport managing director Eddie Hearn. "If he wants we will even make special arrangements so that he doesn't have to reveal his identity to anyone. We are quite happy to let him play wearing a mask or in disguise."

This year, the Big Game includes an innovative structure that allows the eight players in the game to evict one player every two hours and replace him or her with a new challenger.

All the action will be filmed for broadcast on Five in the UK later in the year.

"The event has become one of the most popular televised events in the calendar and this season looks to be the most exciting yet with a whole host of top names and the introduction of the all new player elimination process," added Hearn.

Last year's third edition saw Andrew Feldman and Robert Williamson III walk away as the biggest winners in a field that included Roland De Wolfe, Ian Frazer, Juha Helppi and Barny Boatman.

The first two editions of the event included World Series of Poker Main Event champion Jamie Gold, Brian Townsend, Tony G, Phil Hellmuth Chris Ferguson, Kenna James and Dave 'Devilfish' Ulliott.

"The Big Game is always one of the most popular dates in the calendar and the added twist of a player being evicted every two hours will definitely spice up the action," said A spokesperson. "If you are a rock, you could find yourself as the weakest link! We looked at adding a trap door for the player to exit through but couldn't get it through health and safety."
