William Hill Poker is one of the oldest and largest bookmakers in the U.K. Now part of the booming iPoker network along with Bet365 Poker among others, traffic and promotions at William Hill are first rate and a massive $16 million in prize money is guaranteed every month on the network.
Given its U.K. origins, William Hill Poker is a popular poker room for British players (and European players in general), making the busiest traffic time around European peak hours.
Because of the prominent sportsbook and the tendency for the punters to drift over to the poker room for a few hands, the Will Hill (as players like to call it) tables are usually filled with wild and loose players. Play in general is considered pretty loose with tons of easy games, particularly at the micro stakes.
The software is solid and the lobby got a well-deserved makeover recently, giving it a cleaner look and making finding tournaments easier. Multi-currency deposit and play is also available, as is a wide range of games and sit-and-gos.
Games offered are Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card Stud, Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo and Five-Card Stud. You should keep in mind, however, that very few games other than Hold'em and Omaha actually run on the site.
William Hill Poker also spreads high-stakes blackjack, casino games and sports betting. Want to know more about how to sign up at William Hill Poker? Check the video below:

TOURNAMENTS AND FREEROLLS
William Hill Poker offers a massive amount of guaranteed tournaments with prize pools from €400 all the way up to the Sunday €250k. Other big tournaments are the Friday €150k guaranteed and the Saturday €50k guaranteed.
On Sundays you can choose among nine amazing tournaments with over €240,000 in guaranteed prize money! Buy-ins range from €10 to €150 so players of all bankrolls can take part.
The prizes are also pretty massive so make sure you give them a shot.
Besides the guaranteed events William Hill Poker also usually offer plenty of qualifiers at all levels for big live and online poker events like the World Series of Poker and the European Poker Tour.
Overlays don't seem to be common though. Fields are typically around 800+ for the daily low stakes tournaments and more like 100ish for the high-stakes ones.
William Hill Poker does run quite a few free tournaments with freerolls very well-visited and play extremely loose. Most are multi-table Texas Hold'em events and typically have small prize pools.
All new players can play the daily beginners €50 and €100 freerolls for the first three months after signing up and there are also weekly €1,000 freerolls.
William Hill Poker's variant of the popular fast-fold poker genre is called "Speed Poker" and it delivers exactly what you expect.
If you log in and sit down at a Speed Poker cash game or tournament, whenever you fold your hand you're immediately whisked to a new table with a new set of players and a new hand.
The perks of this kind of play, as you might expect, are a massive increase in the volume of hands you can play per session and literally no downtime while you're playing.
If you're on a tight schedule and you want to maximize your play in a short session, this is clearly the way to go. You lose out a bit on developing reads on players at the tables and the rhythm of standard poker play but the fun and exhilaration far outweighs the losses.
William Hill Poker also now offers "Twister Poker," which is its version of the ultra-popular hyper-turbo jackpot sit-and-go.
Twister Poker SnGs run three-handed and the prize pool is randomly multiplied at the beginning of the tournament. Whatever your buy-in (which can be as low as $3, the prize pool could be 2x to 1,000x the buy-in!
SOFTWARE AND GRAPHICS
The software offers pretty much all the functionality players are used to in online poker, meaning it runs fast and smooth with good playability. The latest update of the software added several new features like auto-top up, a quick seat option, hand-for-hand near the bubble in tournaments and a buddy list for online friends.
The tournament lobby is vastly improved from William Hill's early days. Note-taking at the table also works better than a lot of other poker sites by having the input window by the player on the table, which works nicely. Hand histories are very easy to work with in the built-in interface, though the ones received by request tend to be a little harder to analyze.
The graphics aren't the best in the industry, with somewhat crude 3D graphics and just 10 different options for avatars. That being said, the animations and sounds are all good with plenty of customization options. All in all, it's not a world-beater software-wise but more than adequate for the average player.

William Hill Poker for Android and Mac
As with most poker sites these days William Hill Poker offers mobile play for both Android and Mac users. The mobile cashier is 100% safe and secure and will have you playing in minutes once you've registered and deposited to your account.
To that end there are numerous deposit and withdrawal options you can use via the William Hill app although some may not be available to you depending on where you live.
You can also of course access the William Hill sportsbook and casino via the mobile app so you can pursue any of your gaming pleasures on the go.
iPad, iPhone and Android phones are all compatible with the software although you'll likely need a more recent smart phone - iPhone 3 or higher - to play.
Users of the Android app report it's one of the best around with an easy-to-use interface and an enormous range of sporting and racing events to bet on alongside the poker.
The poker side of the app isn't the most sophisticated mobile app but it's more than capable enough for most casual users.
Play at most tables at William Hill is pretty soft with the natural exceptions that come with playing on a large network - sometimes you just find a super tough table at any limit. Most traffic is in the No-Limit Texas Hold'em games and, given the steady flow of amateur players the iPoker network can draw in, a lot of players go to the flop with little more than a hope and a prayer.
This is great for players who know even a little bit about Hold’em and playing in position. Players can sometimes even find full tables with pre-flop percentages all the way in the 50s, so it can be very easy for skilled players to clean up.
Games at the highest limits can be peppered with good players, as can the big Sunday tournaments, but if you stick to the microlimits and the $20 or less tournaments you'll find plenty of opportunities to post a winning session.
The guarantees on the iPoker network have grown quite substantially over the years as it's reached one of the top 5 spots in the industry but the level of competition still lags behind that of the major sites.
