The third weekend of The Festival Online powered by 888poker will focus on 8-max tournaments. The big 8-max event features a heavy $100,000 guarantee for a buy-in of $109 and runs over two days.
The difference between regular tournaments with nine players per table and 8-max tournaments with only eight players per table might sound small, but the increased action is quite noticeable, especially in later stages. Players see fewer hands during one orbit and the blinds are a more substantial threat to all shorter stacks. This in turn leads to more preflop raises and reraises and more aggressive play in general.

Upcoming Events this Sunday
The big 8-max event this weekend will have a buy-in of $109, allows up to five re-entries and guarantees a whopping $100,000. The event starts Sunday at 8 pm (CEST) and allows late registration for four hours until midnight. The tournament will be played until the final table is reached which will be played on Monday from 21:00 CEST and broadcast starting half an hour later on the 888poker Twitch account with open cards.
Players with deeper pockets have the option to also play the $525 8-max High Roller with a $40,000 guarantee which starts at 8:30 pm (CEST). This event has a shorter late-reg period and finishes the same night.
The final event this Sunday is an Omaha event at 9 pm (CEST). For a buy-in of only $22, the PLO Low Roller has a $1,500 guarantee and should be a fun event for everyone who loves to play with more than two hole cards.
