PokerStars Announce UKIPT Player of the Year Leaderboard
Poker players love a leaderboard. PokerStars have just made a surprise announcement: they are bringing back their UK and Ireland Poker Tour (UKIPT) Player of the Year Leaderboard, and this will include the upcoming and much-anticipated Irish Poker Open (IPO).
How It Works
This exclusive UKIPT Leaderboard is a points-based competition that sees every player who cashes in an eligible event earning points based on their finishing position and the number of event entries. Note that all standard Multi-Table Tournaments with a buy in over £220/€220 - excluding satellites – count towards the Leaderboard.
Once the proverbial dust has settled at the end of the 2023 tour season, the players who end up in the top three overall Leaderboard positions will win the following prizes:
- 1st Prize: £15,000 UKIPT 2024 Package (£11,000 in 2024 Live Event credits plus £4,000 in cash)
- 2nd Prize: £2,200 in 2024 Live Event credits
- 3rd Prize: £1,100 in 2024 Live Event credits
The Irish Poker Open is a global poker institution, being the longest running No Limit Texas Hold ’em tournament fixture in Europe. The venue for the 2023 edition is the Royal Dublin Society (RDS), with the start date being 3 April and the €1,150 buy-in Irish Open Main Event taking place between 5-10 April.
