The Bounty Hunter Series Returns for its Summer Slot on GGPoker

As July rolls in, it seems that every poker room out there is announcing its signature summer series — and why should the biggest room in the world be any different. This week, GGPoker confirmed the return of one of its staples, the Bounty Hunter Series from July 5 to July 28.

Here is what you can except.

Bounty Hunter Series: A Quick Overview

The Highlight Bounty Hunters Events

Over the almost month long tournament, the overall $80 million guarantee will be spilt across several events, the biggest one being the $108 Mystery Bounty Main Event, equipped with its $5 million prize pool. As the series highlight, the Main Event will be played across the two final days, July 27 and 28.

The rest of the month has at least one six-figure guarantee per day, the most prominent ones being:

A Bounty Hunters Leaderboard

On top of the $80 million guarantee, GGPoker added another $1,000,000 to the summer edition courtesy of its daily Bounty Hunter Series Leaderboard. The additional $1,000,000 will be split into $40,000 increments across the 25 days during which the leaderboard will run. This means that each day, players will be competing for their share of the $40,000 how else but through landing knockouts in Bounty Hunters events on the schedule.

Each knockout you land carries its own set of points, directly tied to the tournament’s buy-in level:

While there is $40,000 to fight over daily, only the 1,500 highest ranking players will be rewarded with prizes going from as low as $10 to as high as $2,500 and the title of Bounty King for the best ranked player of the day.

Bounty Cash Drops Running in Toe

Parallel to its summer BHS edition, GGPoker is also running Cash Drops from July 3 to July 27, with $80,000 up for grabs. Since they are BHS-inspired, the official the Bounty Hunters Series Cash Drops will look a little different than you might be used to.

For one, the payout will be going through Flipout tournaments, each with its own  $10,000 GTD, running throughout the day.
