SiGMA Poker Tour Malta Starts Next Week

The SiGMA Poker Tour is set to grace the halls of the prestigious Portomaso Casino next week. The cards will be in the air in St. Julian’s in the north of Malta from September 2nd to September 7th. Here is what you need to know about this exciting event in the middle of the Med. 

€400 Main Event 

The €400 Main Event will feature six starting flights this year, each offering a 50,000 starting stack, 30-minute levels, and unlimited re-entry through the first 10 levels. The two Turbo Flights (1D and 1F) provide a faster route for those short on time, as the Levels there will be 20 minutes each in duration. 

The Main Event will run until the tour’s conclusion on Sunday, 7th September.

What Happened Last Time?

The last time the SiGMA Tour was in action was in São Paolo, Brazil, at the Monte Carlo Poker Club. The Main Event had a $770 buy-in, which attracted 293 entries across five flights. 

Israeli National Deddi Orpaz came into Final Table play with a resounding chip lead and steamrolled his opposition en route to taking down the title. He ultimately bested Argentina’s Jacques Blit to win $58,700. Here are the final table payouts.

The Ambassadors

As displayed in the schedule, there will be a Cash Games Meet and Greet with the SPT Ambassadors at 6 p.m. on Saturday, 6th September.
