Next Stop Manchester for the PokerStars Open

The PokerStars brand has added the PokerStars Open stops to its schedule this year, all of which have proved popular with players across Europe and afar. The latest event will be held in the city of Manchester from October 20-26 at The Manchester Deansgate Hotel in the centre of the bustling city, having graced the cities of Namur in Belgium, Malaga in Spain, Campione in Italy and Philadelphia in the USA. Here is a preview of what’s to come in the penultimate PokerStars Open event of the year.

What’s On?

Over the course of the week, there is something for everyone, with the buy-ins ranging from £220 to £5,000. Various satellites will be running to the Main Event, which costs £180 to play. Additionally, there are £250 satellites to the £2,200 High Roller. Below is a pick of the bunch from the schedule, and the venue will be cashless for registration and payouts.

Additional Activities

There will be daily football streaming and complimentary drinks throughout the week, as well as welcome drinks on the evening of the 22nd. For the football fans in attendance, a stadium tour of Old Trafford will be available at 11.30 am on the 23rd. Pre-registration at the PokerStars Travel Desk is required for those wanting to take part. On Friday 24th, there will be a games night, with bowling and shuffleboard taking centre stage at Lane 7. Pre-registration at the PokerStars Travel Desk is required. On the penultimate day, Saturday 25th, players will get to join the PokerStars Ambassadors team to watch a football match at the Podium Bar for an evening of drinks and conversation about all things cards and football. This starts at 5.30 p.m.

What’s Next?

The Open will be running in Maryland from October 19-26, whilst the event runs concurrently in Manchester. Following the conclusion of the PokerStars Open events in just over a week, The Open will then have its final stop of the year in Cannes from December 16-21, just after the conclusion of the final EPT stop of the year, which is scheduled to return to Prague once again from the 3-14 of December.
