apestyles Topped OSS XL High Leaderboard

A mere 10 days ago, Jonathan Van Fleet celebrated a massive victory on OSS XL. That apparently wasn’t enough for him. Putting his skills together, apestyles went on a red-hot run to the top of the most expensive leaderboard of the Online Super Series XL as well.

During the three OSS XL weeks in March 2026, Van Fleet managed to reach ITM an astonishing 76 times, including 26 final table appearances with 5 victories.
According to his report on X (Twitter), his ultimate profit from the series is $60K.
These amazing results might not have happened at all. Before the start of OSS XL, Jonathan suffered a medical issue but decided not to give up poker for the next three weeks anyway:
Had a seizure the day before it started. Woke up to EMS, shoulder dislocated + fractured. Honestly pretty scary. Still figuring out what caused it. Played the next day anyway. Poker was the only place that felt normal. 3 weeks later… won the leaderboard. Was a close race and a fun sweat. GG PotOfGreed!
Jonathan will undergo surgery this week, after which he will be out of the spotlight for a while.
We wish the champion a speedy recovery!
Multiple Leaderboards Winners
Although apestyles won the largest prize available on the OSS XL leaderboard, he still only won one prize, while four other players managed to cash multiple times across different leaderboards:
- Jamie “Dwan21” Dwan took 5th place in two leaderboards, taking a $2K cash prize in the High Leaderboard and a $1K cash prize in the Mid Leaderboard.
- Dean “mugggggy” Quinn also received two prizes from two leaderboards but for different places: $648 in tickets for the 10th place in the High Leaderboard and $394 in tickets for the 7th place in the Mid Leaderboard.
- Init2Minit took 3rd place in the Mid Leaderboard, taking a $3K cash prize, and 7th place in the Low Leaderboard, taking $160 in tickets.
- ANTCHIP12345 won two $1,5K prizes in cash by placing 4th in the Mid Leaderboard and 3rd in the Low Leaderboard.
