In 888poker’s latest promotion, five teams are being built to conquer poker’s main stage in Las Vegas this summer.

Each team will have a captain, a wing man and an online qualifier.

888poker also recently promised to top up this year’s WSOP main event champion’s check to $10m if he or she qualified online on 888.

If that’s not enough incentive for you, now 888 is enlisting some big-name help to assist you in its new “8-Team” promotion.

Teams will represent five countries – Brazil, Canada, Germany, Sweden and the United Kingdom.

The captains heading the teams are, correspondingly, former November Niner Bruno Politano for Brazil, 888’s Twitch star Parker Talbot for Canada, triple bracelet winner Dominik Nitsche for Germany, longtime 888 pro Sofia Lövgren for Sweden and online poker’s all-time beast Chris Moorman for the United Kingdom.

The wingmen will be the right hands of the team captains and one name already announced is Will “9-high like a boss” Kassouf, who will provide some extra advice on how to rob your opponents of both their chips and their cool.

The other four wingmen will be announced in the coming days or weeks and not all of them will be professional players.

To snatch a spot on one of the teams you have to qualify online for a main event package. Online qualifiers who get a spot on the team of their home country will be revealed on June 28.

The one who does best in this year’s Main Event will also get a ticket, hotel and travel costs for the next year’s Main Event courtesy of 888poker.

Every Sunday and Thursday on 888poker there’s a direct qualifier for the WSOP main event package.

These are $1,050 buy-in satellites but you can play in them for a lot less than that. For a seat in the $1,050 satellite you can navigate through up to six stages of satellites. Join at any buy-in level that feels comfortable for you.

The levels are 1c/10c/$1/$5/$30/$160. The higher you start, the fewer levels you have to survive. You’ll find the satellites under the All games > Tournaments > Live Events tab.
