The Top Poker Streamers in Europe (Part I)

The Top Poker Streamers in Europe (Part I)

We recently wrote about some of the most popular poker streamers from North America, but the poker market isn’t reserved just for them. It’s actually much bigger in Europe, especially given the legal restrictions players have in the United States. As a result, most of the biggest poker streamers reside in Europe, and today we’re going to profile a couple of must-watch streamers from the Old Continent.

You’ve hear of most, if not all of them, and maybe you’ve even visited their streams at some point!

Spraggy

Ben Spragg did something not a lot of poker streamers who play full time do. He finished school before pursuing a career as a Twitch broadcaster. Graduating in 2012 with a degree in journalism and film, something that’s helped him with his streams, Spragg immediately turned to playing full time. This wasn’t a bad decision at all, since he quickly placed sixth in the UKIPT Galway Main Event in 2013, taking home €30,000.

From there, Spragg took €100, deposited it on PokerStars, and started grinding away.  A year later, he started showcasing his talents on Twitch after fellow poker streamer Jaime Staples started badgering him about it, and by 2017, Spragg was wearing the PokerStars patch when he signed onto Team Online with Fintan Hand, someone we’ll profile later.

While broadcasting low stakes games, Spraggy was as much an entertainer as he was a poker player, often joking with the people in his stream, or just goofing off. Watching, you get the feeling he’s not just a guy sitting behind a mic talking about poker, he’s an entertainer here to give you a show.

The results speak for themselves. Spraggy has over 170k followers on Twitch and regularly draws an average crowd above 500 to his streams. He’s live on a regular basis, especially when the bigger tournaments roll around on the weekends, that’s when he gets his fans to log more than 10k in watch time per month.

Today, he still sprouts the Red Spade and will continue to be one of the go-to poker streamers online.

Fintan Hand

Around the same time Spraggy got his break on PokerStars, so too did Fintan Hand, aka EasyWithAces. The Irish streamer was signed to PokerStars together with Spragg, forming a duo that has benefited all three.

Fintan grew his stream from nothing back 2015 to catching PokerStars’ attention enough to offer him a contract just two years later. He and Spraggy did a number of joint streams that grew both of their audiences.

Fintan’s channel today has over 137k followers on Twitch and is one of the most watched poker streams on Twitch today. His viewers have logged over 40k hours in November, 2025.

While not an everyday streamer, he picks and chooses his days carefully, again focusing on the bigger tournaments on the weekend. Now that he’s no longer associated with PokerStars, his streams cover the big tournaments on all of the major sites, giving his fans a lot more variety.

There’s no doubt that Fintan’s streams will be as strong, if not stronger going forward even without an official alignment with a major poker site.

Lex Veldhuis

Alexander Bastiaan Martin “Lex” Veldhuis is a Dutch poker pro and online streamer that has been dominating the online streets on PokerStars for years. Originally starting out as a StarCraft player, he met Bertrand Grospellier, aka ElkY at an event in 2005, who convinced him to try poker. A $10 deposit later on PokerStars given to him by ElkY and Lex was hooked on poker.

He received a lot of exposure in 2009 when he finished the WSOP Main Event with a top stack (only to bust on Day 2), but that was enough for PokerStars to sign him to their team. From there, Lex perfected his game and grinded to the point where in 2016, he joined the ranks on Twitch and started his stream.

Fans have enjoyed Lex’s ruthless attitude at the table as he plays fast, fearless, and hyper-aggressive and this has led him to massive success playing poker. A total of 323k followers on Twitch doesn’t happen by accident, and he often pulls hundreds, if not, thousands of fans to his channel when he goes live.

When he made a deep run in the SCOOP Main Event in 2020, he had a record audience of over 58k people watching him go for the trophy. Very few streams can say they had numbers like that!

Poker fans might have noticed he’s not streaming right now. According to multiple sources, Lex is spending more time in Las Vegas, mainly because of regulations in Holland that PokerStars have not agreed to and that put a wrench in Lex’s ability to stream poker.

Hopefully more news comes out soon that will allow this Dutch mega-streamer back on the Twitch streets sooner rather than later.

PokerStars

One of the most popular and watched poker streams on Twitch is actually the official channels of PokerStars. They have standalone channels for English, French, German, Portuguese, Spanish, and others, along with their PokerStars 247 channel that runs previous programming end to end.

The main channel features many of the ambassadors and Team Pro players participating in various events, such as broadcasting the final tables of major series’ main events like the WCOOP and SCOOP, in addition to the live series that PokerStars puts on. You’ll be able to watch from hand one to the final hand of major tournaments like the EPT Main Events, the NAPT, APPT, and others with one of the top commentary stables anywhere, led by the likes of James Hartigan and Joe Stapleton.

PokerStars offers the variety between individual streamers featured on their channel as well as various online and live events. Above is Nick Walsh, ambassador and broadcaster for PokerStars.

It’s no wonder that of the 360k plus followers of the main English channel, that thousands flock to the channel for the big EPT final tables, or the finale of major online events.

Tom Talboom

Holland has to be the land of poker streamers. Along with poker greats like Lex or Marcel Luske, another young gun is quickly establishing himself among the best of the best, Tom Talboom, or Tom_Poker_NL. He’s a Dutch professional player and streamer who’s quickly making the rise up the Twitch ranks.

He’s seen massive success both online and live, and has started to creep into the top three poker streams on Twitch right now. For November 2025, he has gathered over 47k hours watched, and hit a high of over 1400 watching his stream at once, numbers that typically only the top players get online.

While he has 27k plus followers on Twitch, these numbers are rising and now that he’s an ambassador with CoinPoker, his exposure to the broader poker world is only going to grow!

We recently sat down with Tom in an exclusive interview that you can read here: Tom Talboom Interview

There are many more poker streamers to highlight, so next time we’re going to profile more of the best poker content creators and broadcasters from Europe. Some names you’ve heard of and maybe some you haven’t but all of them are worth checking out!
