Stakes go up after dark

Phil Ivey will be one of the players in the upcoming episode of Poker After Dark.
By Erik Sylven
High rollers including Phil Ivey, David Benyamine and Eli Elezra will clash in the upcoming episode of Poker After Dark. Each participant will bring $50,000 to the table, creating the biggest prize pool in the history of the NBC show.
As in the past on Poker After Dark, the match will be winner-takes-all, but this time the stakes are higher than usual.
In previous episodes of the show the buy-in has been $20,000 instead of $50,000. This time, the winner will take home a massive $300,000, while the rest will leave with nothing.
With several ultra-aggressive players seated, and only the top spot to aim for, there will probably be a lot of spectacular poker action at the table.
Five of the participants are WSOP bracelet holders, and the six players combined have won over $25 million in poker tournaments.
Poker After Dark lineup:
Seat 1: David Benyamine
Seat 2: Allen Cunningham
Seat 3: Jennifer Harman
Seat 4: Phil Ivey
Seat 5: Barry Greenstein
Seat 6: Eli Elezra
The match will begin airing on NBC Monday October 8 at 2:05 a.m., and will continue for five consecutive nights in the same time slot. A special program called The Director's Cut will air Saturday October 13 at 1 a.m.
