PKR runs on privately developed software and is not a part of any poker network. The software offers breathtaking graphics and customizability, giving the player an experience that is as close to real casino play as possible.

The software comes, for obvious reasons, as a download client only, and only works on the PC platform. Modem users shouldn't bother downloading it though, since it takes up over 600 MB on the hard drive.

The playing experience is awesome, and all the usual functions are there, except for the annoying fact that pre-flop view percentage is missing from the lobby.

The software allows for play at up to four tables simultaneously and offers a great mini-view function where three tables can be viewed together with the main table, all in the same window. In all, the software is power consuming, slow, and space consuming - and just amazing!

Statistics

The data and statistics functions in the PKR software allow you to classify your opposition during play, and the lobby supplies vital table statistics like viewed-flop percentage, average pot size and hands played per hour.

The hand history functions for PKR are good, with the option to both look at your private hand history in the software and go through hands played in a session right at the table.

Multi-Table

The latest version of the PKR software supports play at four tables simultaneously, and multi-table play usually runs effortlessly, although a little slow.

PKR is decently suited for multi-table play, with somewhat slow software but a great mini-view function that allows for three small and one large active table to be viewed at the same time.

The tables are resizable to full screen and all graphics and sound functions are customizable for the best individual experience.

Graphics

The graphics of the PKR software are totally amazing, and most users are blown away the first time they play. Graphics-wise, there is nothing on the market that even comes close to PKR, with amazing customization and superb 3D effects making the software simply the best out there.

The table functions are easy to learn and well-oriented, and the cards are big and easy to see. Players can also view the table from any position. Tables and software can be made to fit full screen for larger text, and the graphics, sounds and functions can all be customized.

Special Features

The PKR software offers the basic features players expect and a large number of inventive ones. Players can "peek" at their hole cards just like in live play; avatars have unique mannerisms; players can win bracelets for their avatar; and the graphics are, all-around, completely amazing.

There is also a very good hand history for any session right at the table and a great mini-view feature for multi-table play.
