Pacific Poker has good game variety and offers all variations of Texas Hold'em, Omaha, Omaha Hi-Lo, Seven-Card Stud and Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo. The heavy concentration on the Hold'em tables makes it an especially good site for Hold'em players. The games vary between No-Limit, Pot-Limit and Fixed-Limit. Full-table games, short-handed and heads-up tables are all available.

Ring Game Traffic (7)

Traffic at Pacific Poker is good, but is highly concentrated to Hold'em ring games and tournaments. Most of the other traffic is in Omaha Hi-Lo and Seven-Card Stud. Pacific Poker has some of the juiciest games online. However, the viewed-flop percentages at $15/$30 tables have dropped to about 65-70% (at best) from a previously whopping 85%. Thanks to Casino-on-Net's operations, there are many less-experienced poker players, often with a sweet tooth for gambling.

At peak hours, you typically find one or two full-ring games (10 players) with a viewed-flop percentage in the 50s or 60s. If you are looking to make a profit, the Omaha Hi-Lo tables are very good as well.

Rake (6)

Rake at Pacific Poker is about average for the industry and like most siteshas a "no flop, no drop" policy, which means the pot is only raked when the flop is seen.

For Limit games, rake is 5% up to $15/$30 blinds, where it drops to 2.5% with a max cap of $3 for a full table. It drops even more for the nosebleeds.

For No-Limit and Pot-Limit, rake at the nano-stakes is a little over 6%. From 5¢/10¢ up the rake is 5% up to $25/$50, where it's a flat $3.

Cap at a full table is $4, which is higher than the average site.
