Game Over! Ivey Wins LAPC!
On the second hand of heads-up play, Quinn Do limps in from the small blind and Phil Ivey raises to $400,000 from the big blind. The flop comes A
8
6
and Ivey bets out $700,000. Do makes the call, leaving himself with only about $1 million behind, and the turn is the A
. Ivey moves all-in and Do goes into the tank, counting and re-counting his stack and looking absolutely miserable about the circumstances.
Eventually, after some serious soul-searching, Do announces a call and turns up 9
8
for aces-up. Ivey, however, has A
8
for aces-full and Do is drawing dead. The river card is a meaningless 4
and Phil Ivey has won the Los Angeles Poker Classic and his first World Poker Tour title!
For the win, the Full Tilt pro will take home $1,596,100 as well as a gigantic trophy and a WPT chip set. Quinn Do earns $909,400 for his second-place finish. Congratulations to both finalists and to the staff at the Commerce Casino and World Poker Tour for staging another epic event!

"Woody" Woodpecker'd! (Third)
On the hand after Nam Le's elimination, Phil Ivey limps in from the small blind and Charles "Woody" Moore checks his option in the big blind. The flop comes 8
5
2
and Ivey bets out $160,000. Moore flat-calls and the turn is the 7
. Ivey fires out $400,000 and Moore moves all-in. Ivey immediately calls with 8
7
for top two while Moore is on the draw with 6
2
.
Moore needs a nine, four or deuce to stay alive, but the river card is the J
and we're down to two players in this LAPC final table. Moore is out in third place and will take home $625,630 for his finish.

Nam Le raises to $420,000 from the small blind and Phil Ivey puts him all-in in the big blind. Le insta-calls and turns up A
A
to Ivey's 3
3
. The Bapester looks ready to double up, but after the flop comes T
6
2
the turn is the 3
, sending a roar of approval through the crowd of drunken louts who've managed to insinuate themselves into the media area. The river card is the Q
and Ivey cracks Le's aces, eliminating Nam in fourth place for a $411,770 consolation prize. And Ivey continues to walk all over this final table...

Ivey Adds to Lead

The last few rounds have seen plenty of raising but very little calling, with Nam Le and Charles Moore both moving all-in and getting no callers. Meanwhile, Phil Ivey continues to press his advantage, taking a tidy pot from Quinn Do just moments ago.
Ivey raised to $450,000 from under the gun and Do made the call in the small blind. The flop came K
8
4
and Do checked to Ivey, who bet out $700,000. Do tanked for a few minutes but then folded out and Ivey took down the pot.

Le Getting Lo
Nam Le has moved all-in in each of the last two hands without getting a caller. The second time he open-shoved under the gun for his last $1,140,000 and the action folded around to Quinn Do in the big blind, who went into the tank for a few minutes before finally laying down the hand and giving up the blinds and antes.
We're now on a 10-minute tape change break. Action will resume shortly.
