Fair Poker has good game variety with Texas Hold'em, Omaha Hi-Lo, Omaha Hi, Five-Card Stud, and Seven-Card Stud Hi - which are available in Limit and Pot-limit and of course No-Limit for Texas Hold'em. Table stakes are from 50¢/$1 to $30/$60 in the fixed games, with 10¢/20¢ up to $50/$100 in Pot-Limit and Limit games, while No-Limit and Pot-Limit Hold'em is offered in up to $10/$20 blinds.

There are heads-up, sit-and-go and fixed-schedule multi-table tournaments offered and traffic is especially excellent at the sit-and-go tournaments, mostly due to the very high jackpots.

Ring Game Traffic (8)

Traffic at Fair Poker is in the middle segment but steadily growing. There are always several games at most low and mid-stakes No-Limit Hold'em and Limit Hold'em games. Fair Poker has peak ring-game traffic of 10,000 real-money players at peak hours (September 2008).

Soft Competition (7)

Play at most tables at Fair Poker is relatively soft . Most volume is in the No-Limit Texas Hold'em games events where the viewed-flop percentage is normally in the 40s or 50s. However, players will sometimes be able to find a full table with pre-flop percentages all the way in the 60s. The players are also quite passive, so it is easy for skilled players to be winning players.

Rake (7)

The rake at PokerListings is lower than the industry standard. The general policy is a standard 5% rake taken in increments up to $3. But on several types of tables there are lower maximum rakes. On Fixed-Limit tables up to $1/$2 there is a $1 max rake. More importantly, all tables with two to three players have a max rake of $1 and tables with four to five players have a $2 max rake - which also includes No-Limit and Pot-Limit short-handed games. PokerListings uses a "no flop, no drop" policy for hands not reaching the flop.
