Bodog finds nevertilt22 atop 2007 leaderboard
By Sarah Polson
It was a pretty close race between nevertilt22 and head2782 at Bodog Poker, but it was nevertilt22 who managed to cement the No. 1 spot at the top of the 2007 leaderboard.
Topping the leaderboard is just a bonus for nevertilt, whose real name is Smith Collins. He's had a very successful year at Bodog Poker. Following right behind him and nearly matching him in success was head2782, also known as Jose Severino.
The Top 10 players on the Bodog Poker's yearly leaderboard for 2007 are:
| Place | Name | Points |
| 1st | nevertilt22 | 30,596.37 |
| 2nd | head2782 | 29,927.43 |
| 3rd | daisyxoxo | 28,613.93 |
| 4th | Killa_Tyven | 26,985.02 |
| 5th | The Maven | 26,436.56 |
| 6th | UFPokerStar | 26,260.91 |
| 7th | FPpoker4 | 25,542.30 |
| 8th | fullpackage1 | 25,067.44 |
| 9th | 011jp | 24,894.52 |
| 10th | thatsNice | 24,692.60 |
Both Severino and Collins have placed at the top of the weekly tournament leaderboard at Bodog Poker several times this year, getting to take on the site's top pros. Collins even lists one of his accomplishments as beating Josh Arieh heads-up five times.
Collins also took his game to Las Vegas for some live tournament action. At the Bellagio Cup III in June, he made it to the final table of one of the nightly $1,000 No-Limit Hold'em events to add $10,995 to his bankroll with a fourth-place finish.
Another player who made it into the Top 10 on the yearly leaderboard, giving Bodog Poker players even more live tournament credibility, was Johnathan "UFPokerStar" Westra.
Westra won a $1,500 No-Limit Hold'em event of the Bellagio Cup III and came in second in another $1,500 event as well. He also added a cash in a $500 event at the Venetian Deep Stack Extravaganza II to his growing poker resume.
The leaderboard contenders weren't the only players who ended the year on a high note. At Bodog Poker's Sunday $100k Guaranteed tournament, bigmonte87 found $25,000 worth of reasons for happiness in the new year.
It was only his third cash ever on the poker site as he battled through a playing field of 756 players to take home the $25,000 top prize of the $100k Guaranteed. A few players at the final table were also making repeat appearances to try for that top prize.
Joe McGuire and Catfish4U have both made at least one final table in the $100k Guaranteed before. Plus GraveDanger just barely missed a top 15 finish last year as well in the event.
The final-table results are as follows:
| Place | Name | Prize |
| 1st | bigmonte87 | $25,000 |
| 2nd | karjalanpaisti | $14,300 |
| 3rd | jakey22 | $9,200 |
| 4th | Joe McGuire | $6,900 |
| 5th | swan153 | $5,500 |
| 6th | JB_FIVE | $4,500 |
| 7th | Catfish4U | $3,500 |
| 8th | GraveDanger | $2,500 |
| 9th | nickanderson42 | $1,600 |
