The MPF Grand Event has already attracted 188 entries on Day 1a. To put this in perspective, when the MPF Grand Event met the guarantee in the Spring with 1,014 entries, it attracted 118 entries on Day 1a.
It doesn't seem like this reporter is going out on a limb when he states that this event will be bigger than the Spring Edition based on the current run rate and the plethora of players planning to play in subsequent opening flights. However, anything can happen as there is one less opening flight in the Autumn Edition as compared to the Spring Edition.
Despite that disclaimer, the only question in this reporter's mind is whether the Grand Event will be the biggest in MPF history. It would need to surpass the 1,366 entries attracted during the inaugural MPF Grand Event in 2018 when Emanuele Onnis won the mouth-watering €150,000 top prize.
