Biography

Before Malinowski took the high-stakes poker world by storm, he was a professional Handball player in Poland, playing for KS Iskra Kielce, the same team his father played for. However, in 2014, Malinowski was sidelined due to a serious injury; he damaged the meniscus in his knee, which sidelined him for several months. When he returned to the field, he tore his cruciate ligaments. Malinowski took to micro-stakes online, playing free rolls and the lowest stakes cash games to cut his teeth and develop his skills. The Polish pro considered a return to the Handball court, but having built up a sizeable roll from grinding online cash games, Malinowski opted to pick poker.

He said in an interview to PokerNews back in 2019: “I picked to play poker because it gives you the freedom, and you don’t need to deal with injuries. It’s the same as a sport, because I love the games, but poker is more of a mind game, so I love it a lot.”
Malinowski began hitting the live tables in 2016, only two years after starting his online journey. His first recorded live cash is from April 2017. He came in 187th in the £5,300 No Limit Hold’em event for £7,500 at the partypoker MILLIONS Live at the Dusk Till Dawn Casino in Nottingham, UK. The first time he binked a score over $100,000 in the live streets was in April 2019. He took 7th place in the €100,000 NLHE EPT Super High Roller in Monte Carlo for €264,860 ($295,217).
Malinowski became a high-stakes regular in Macau, often playing in the biggest cash games in Asia’s answer to Las Vegas, often playing sessions exceeding 24 hours in duration.
In 2021, Malinowski had his first seven-figure score in live poker tournaments, winning the $250,000 No Limit Hold’em – SHRB Europe Main Event for $3,690,000 at the Merit Royal Diamond Hotel & Casino in Northern Cyprus. This score stands as the second biggest in Malinowski’s career thus far.
Malinowski is a regular on the EPT, WSOP and Triton circuits, playing the highest buy-ins available. Below are his five best scores so far from tournaments.
