Espen Jørstad
Espen Jørstad is a Norwegian professional poker player who currently resides in London. He is most known for winning the WSOP Main Event in 2022 for $10,000,000, the first Norwegian to do so. This is his second of two bracelets. His first came in the $1,000 Tag Team event in the same year, around a week before his Main Event triumph. Jørstad and his partner, Patrick “Pads1161” Leonard, both took home a bracelet each.
Jørstad has accumulated $19,416,879 in live tournament earnings and sits second in Norway’s all-money list standings. Kayhan Mokri is in first with $21,168,632. Jørstad’s current earnings are good for 73rd place in the global all-time money list rankings.

Biography
In his youth, Jørstad was a big gamer, with World of Warcraft being his game of choice. Before entering the poker world, Jørstad obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, completed his Master’s Degree in Brewing Science, and worked at Norwegian Craft brewery Waldemars Brygghus before embarking on his poker journey. Jørstad’s first public foray into poker came in 2016, where he streamed on Twitch under the alias “uhlenpoker” as a sponsored Unibet pro. During his time as an ambassador, Jorstad participated in Unibet events, including the Unibet Open Dublin 2020, where he finished 6th in the Main Event for €12,100. He also played in the Unibet Battle Royale, finishing 3rd behind legendary player Viktor “Isildur1” Blom.
He reached his first World Series of Poker final table in 2020, finishing in fifth place in a $400 Fifty Stack event during the WSOP Online. In 2021, he was sixth in the WSOP Online Main Event, earning $603,058.
This practice and dedication put Jørstad in a position for success, and the fruits of his labour ripened in 2022, as he won the WSOP Main Event for $10,000,000. He also claimed three SCOOP titles, including a $5,200 SCOOP High Roller title on PokerStars. Following his triumph in poker’s marquee Hold’em tournament, Jørstad left his ambassador role at Unibet. Since then, he has become a GTO Wizard Ambassador and continues to stream cash games on Twitch.
In 2023, Jørstad won his first Triton title in the $40,000 Mystery Bounty event, topping a strong 133-entry field and earning about $639,000, besting Phil Ivey and Stephen Chidwick in the process. In that year’s World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP), Jorstad won the WCOOP 03-H: $3,150 NLHE Progressive KO, cashing $122,371 including bounties. The following year, he won the SCOOP 99-H: $530 NLHE Fenomeno HR SE for $32,244.
2024 was also lucrative on the live felts for Jørstad, as he won his first EPT title in the €25,000 Super High Roller Warm Up for €277,500. He also finished 3rd in the $200,000 Triton Poker Super High Roller for $2,255,000.
Jørstad came close to winning a second EPT title in 2025, finishing 4th in the €100,000 Super High Roller for $613,548. He cashed the €25,000 event for $89,973 at the same spot for a 7th-place finish. He cashed three times at Triton Poker Super High Roller Series Montenegro, and in the 2025 WSOP Paradise $100K Triton.
