PokerStars EPT Barcelona Announcement: Power Path Now Available Online
One of Europe’s most popular stops on every poker player’s agenda is the European Poker Tour in Barcelona, where from August 21st until September 3rd, it will conclude in perhaps another record-breaking event. An action-packed schedule is set for two weeks and promises to crown many winners with one of their iconic trophies. Casino Barcelona, as always the hotspot when it comes to poker in Spain, will host both the Estrellas Poker Tour (ESPT), and the European Poker Tour (EPT), including the Main Event of respectively €1,100 and €10,300 buy-ins, alongside high roller events such as the €100,000 buy-in event. PokerStars, which still belongs to the world’s top online- and live poker operators, came with an offer to its players that just cannot be refused, namely Power Path. When thinking about Barcelona being a poker player, of course, you would straight away think about the lovely Casino Barcelona and the EPT. Other notable results were the Super High Roller win in the €100,000 event of Mikita Bodyakovsky for almost €2,000,000, and the Estrellas Main Event win of Dutchman Rick van Bruggen for €600,000! The whole series had a total of 61 events, resulting in many spade trophies which were handed out all throughout.
Even More Options Available to Qualify Online Through the Power Path

From August 27th until September 3rd, a total of 25 online tournaments will be played out to a winner with buy-ins varying from just $1.10 up to $55. PokerStars has got a big surprise for everyone, as they are adding a stunning €70,000 in added value throughout the series. Included in this added value are that the winners of not one, but two Main Events (both on September 3rd), will receive a Golden Pass for the next EPT event, held in Cyprus. For players in Southern Europe, this series won’t be available. Instead, the Galactic Series will run, usually this online poker series will be between September 3rd and 24th, but PokerStars has added the Galactic Series Sales as addition so that online poker players from Southern Europe can also enjoy playing online events during the live version of the EPT.
