Daily 3-Bet: Busquet Inspired, Lehne Fires, Miss Finland + JRB

The PokerListings Daily 3-Bet is a pre-trip battery of shots, a trek into the unfamiliar and a whole new perspective on the afternoon poker news community.

Got a tip for a future 3-Bet? Drop us a note in the comments and we'll take a look.

Today in the 3-Bet we find Olivier Busquet proud to be a poker player again, CEO Kathy Lehne fires a $100k bullet at WPT Alpha8 St. Kitts and Miss Finland meets Jean-Robert Bellande on the latest episode of Shark Cage.

1) Busquet: Proudest He's Ever Been

Pals Olivier Busquet and Dan Colman were at the center of a couple of firestorms this year about the nature of poker and its place in the world.

First, there was Colman's wariness about celebrating the game of poker in general or its individual superstars after his One Drop win. Then there was their semi-controversial choice of attire at the televised final table of the EPT Barcelona High Roller.

Both have clearly expressed some conflicted feelings about the nature of the game and the industry - feelings that might have been quelled a bit after the two recently saw some of their One Drop juice in action in Honduras and El Salvador.

Just finished an absolutely amazing trip with @DanielColman_ @WSOPTD and my wife to @onedrop intervention zones in El Salvador and Honduras— Olivier Busquet (@olivierbusquet) December 5, 2014

Will give more details later but will say that this is the proudest I've ever been as a member of the poker community— Olivier Busquet (@olivierbusquet) December 5, 2014

We're still waiting to hear back on some email questions we sent Colman in October but we hope, if we do get an answer, we learn a bit more about his experience and if/how it's changed his perception of things.

2) Kathy Lehne Fires $100k in St. Kitts

The $100k WPT Alpha8 event in St. Kitts is underway as we speak and while we were checking out the player list a couple of intriguing names popped out.

Michael Singh, who played last year's St. Kitts Alpha8, is back as is Tony Guglietti.

Joining them this time, however, is Kathy Lehne - a player we were introduced to at the $111k One Drop event back in 2013.

The founder and CEO of Sun Coast Resources - a petroleum distribution company she started with just $2,000 when she was 23 years old - Lehne dabbled in a few smaller buy-in events over the years before coming out of nowhere to thrown down at the One Drop.

She didn't cash there but she definitely showed she wasn't intimidated by the money on the table of the male-dominated field. Looks like she hasn't backed off one bit in St. Kitts and it's exciting to think she might take some more shots come WSOP 2015.

Follow the WPT Live Updates to see how she fares against the usual suspects like Jason Mercier, Antonio Esfandiari and the newly inspired Olivier Busquet and Dan Colman.

3) Kara Scott, Miss Finland and JRB Get in the Cage

PokerStars' latest entry into the TV poker game  - the Shark Cage - has become more and more interesting with every episode.

Episode 6 was a treat with Sam Grafton, Jason Mercier, Liv Boeree and Mike "Timex" McDonald. An even more eclectic lineup amped things up even more for Episode 7.

On the felt this time: Kara Scott, Miss Finland 2012 Sara Chafak, Jean-Robert Bellande, Ronnie Bardah, Eugene Katchalov and another intriguing qualifier.

Think JRB was happy to draw the seat directly to the left of Miss Finland? The hand between Chafak and Bardah is also one that should live on in YouTube infamy for a long time.

Given some room to grow and a new season this show could turn into a great draw for casual poker fans. Episode 7 below:
