A hot table is a craps table where shooters are having long, successful turns and many people at the rail are winning. The shooter is the person currently rolling the dice. When the table is hot, shooters keep rolling useful numbers instead of quickly “sevening out,” and you see many 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10 results.
The point is the target number the shooter tries to roll again after it has been set on the come-out roll. Sevening out means rolling a 7 after the point is established, which ends the shooter’s turn and removes most bets from the layout. On a hot table, shooters are making their points and avoiding that 7 for several rolls in a row.
How to Recognize a Hot Table
