Purple Jacket — Poker Masters

Poker Masters is a series of high-roller tournaments with buy-ins starting at $5k and up. The main prize, the Purple Jacket, goes to the best overall player of the series. It used to be that there was only one Purple Jacket, but since 2025 winners of individual events also receive cute mini-trophies shaped like jackets.

The idea of awarding the winner a jacket or another piece of clothing is great but for some reason it’s not used very often in poker. Alex Foxen took his winner’s photo in a fur coat last year after the $100K Triton Main Event at WSOP Paradise. He received the coat as an extra prize for knocking out Osii Ketola. It looks extravagant. Tournament series creators, take note!

Texas Poker Open Belt Buckle

This trophy won the 2024 Global Poker Award for Most Original Trophy. It is awarded for winning the Texas Poker Open Main Event or High Roller Event. Owners of such buckles for winning the Main Event include Ren Lin (2024) and Ravee Sundara (2025). Original, extravagant, and very Texas.

Hard Rock Guitar

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino loves to play on its own name when designing trophies. At some tournaments you can win a guitar-pick-shaped cup, at others a cup shaped like a guitar, or even a real electric guitar. A trophy for true rock stars. 

Winamax Poker Tour Sword

Winners of Winamax Poker Tour events receive one of the most original trophies — a knight’s sword. It’s just like a real one, only lighter. Winamax tournaments take place all across France. The organizers award the sword as a nod to the knightly duels that once took place throughout the country.

And the most important thing: both the Hard Rock guitar and the Winamax sword serve the same purpose, they help players take memorable post-victory photos.

Pair of Revolvers — South Dakota State Poker Championship

Every May, Deadwood hosts the South Dakota State Poker Championship. The winner of the $1K Main Event receives one of the most iconic trophies: a pair of revolvers. Deadwood is the “capital” of the Wild West. In the past, it was the center of the gold rush. People here used to go crazy for gold. Now, perhaps, the descendants of those fortune-seekers try to win life-changing money at the poker table.

WPA Poker Trophy

The Women’s Poker Association introduced this trophy in 2022 — and it blew up social media. All because of its unusual shape, which resembles a vagina. One of the creators, iNinja Poker Tour co-owner Chris “Fox” Wallace, even considered abandoning the idea. But women liked it:

Over time, the trophy changed. In 2025 the winner received a glass version.
