PokerListings Operator Awards: Best Poker Software

PokerListings Operator Awards: Best Poker Software

Inaugurated in 2020 PokerListings awards the best Poker Operators of the year and presents the pack leaders in the industry. This time it's time to take a look at the nominees for the category Best Software Overall.

Best Poker Software Overall 2024

Which poker operator provides the the most features, the neatest interface, and best software overall?

This Award is purely for outstanding software. Who has the leanest interface, finest features, and greatest graphics right now?
In this category, we awarded the poker operator with the best overall software solution for players.

And frankly, we only saw three nominees here. It's not because the competition is not up to the task, but the two online giants GGPoker & PokerStars are simply that far advanced in terms of features and accessibility. We see a 3rd nominee in the small mobile only operator Pokio which offers an outstanding experience for players that only play recreational poker on their smartphone.

The Chat facility is for many poker fans a big part of the game - and the overall experience. As well as offering opportunities to apply psychology, it’s also a way for players to socialise, adding an important component to the game. Recent developments to the chat facility at partypoker have been well received, and serve to enhance a playing session. As well as general chat, players can send emoticons and emojis to each other and expand/adjust or simply close the chat window accordingly.

888poker

888poker has put a great deal of work into their BLAST Sit & Go software. This version of the exciting 3-player Sit & Go game with randomly determined prizes can have nosebleed payouts that can be as high 10,000 times your buy-in. That in itself is more than enough incentive, but 888poker’s software adds to the fun.

WPT Global

Online poker software is often about the ‘unseen’ aspect that we rarely give much thought to but which is of critical importance. This includes the foundations on which games are played and the mechanics of what makes them fair. WPT Global have paid particular attention to their fair play algorithm software, which is designed to ensure that every player has a fair chance to win, thus enhance their overall experience. One interesting software feature is limiting the number of highly skilled players that can sit at each table. The aim is to prevent players from being out of their depth – an important issue given the major contribution to the online poker industry made by recreational players.

Coolbet

‘Responsible gaming is one of our key values, not just a slogan’ - this statement is indicative of Coolbet’s intention to provide their rapidly growing player base with the security new players seek when trying out a new poker operator. During the summer, Coolbet, which provides an impressive multi-platform offering, introduced numerous new software integrations focusing on payment providers. Given that Coolbet celebrated a key milestone that saw them surpass 1,000,000 registered customers, providing watertight, secure payment facility software is an imperative.

1. Nominations

Throughout the month of November and December, our PokerListings experts present the shortlisted nominees in several different categories: Best for Beginners, Best for Grinders, Best Online Series, Best Overall Software, Innovation of the Year, Poker Operator of the Year, and finally the PokerListings Players' Favorite. You can check all dates on our PokerListings Awards page.

2. Voting

During this Nomination period in December all PokerListings players can vote for our category: Your favorite poker operator of them all. You will find a wider selection of nominees than the other award categories for a better choice. And you can cast your vote (one per person) on our Facebook and Twitter channels. We'll provide results on both outlets as well as our Player Favorite page - along with the other category results.

3. Winners

After a long deliberation throughout this month, we will announce the winners on all our channels at the end of December. Our winners will also be contacted and provided with their badge of honor as this year's winners.
