Day 1B of The Festival Bratislava is in the books and it was a big day in the Banco Casino Bratislava. With 132 entries for the main event the total number of starters rose to 240 and thus the tournament is well on track to smash the guarantee tomorrow.
We must admit, after a fantastic day 1A with an unexpected number of 108 entries for the main event we might have gotten a wee bit carried away when we announced that we expected 200+ entries for day 1B. In the end today 132 entries were in the books, and this is still a very decent number, especially considering we’re talking about the 2nd of four starting flights which started at noon on a Wednesday.
After 10 levels of play 54 players remained with local player Jozef Komorny bagging most of the chips. Albeit, he’s still second behind Day 1A chip leader Pavol Melichar.

Impressions from Day 1B:
PLO Highroller on the Stream
The first highroller event of the series started with the €1k PLO Highroller. This event attracted 12 entries and was promptly cut short to a single day event which was promoted to the stream immediately.
Apart from poker The Festival also featured the 3rd starting flights of the blackjack and roulette events. The roulette event turned out to be a smash hit with 20 players that competed while Russian hip hop was blasting in the roulette area.
Blackjack and Roulette will commence in the next two days and play down to a winner. Meanwhile the sports betting event started with an online freeroll. The main event will start in two days. It will be held online but is only open to players in the casino as the payments will be handled directly via cash.
Coming up
Apart from the third and fourth starting flight of the Poker Main Event tomorrow there will be another highlight event, the €100 Half & Half PLO / NLH event.
