Ilari Sahamies

The record for biggest online pot of all time was broken last month when patatino took a $609,730 pot off one Hac "trex313" Dang.

Another online poker record has now gone down in flames: largest stack on a No-Limit Hold'em table.

Million-dollar stacks have been seen in Limit before, with TexasLimitKing putting up a million-dollar roll on the $500/$1,000 Limit games.

And in September on RailHeaven David Benyamine came close twice to having a million at the table in a No-Limit game.

On Saturday night the NL record was finally breached when Ilari "ziigmund" Sahamies went on a massive heater at Full Tilt Poker's $500/$1,000 No-Limit Hold'em RailHeaven table.

At his peak, ziigmund had $1,140,000 on the table.

The record-breaking hand came when it was folded around to ziigmund in the small blind. He raised to $3,000 and Patrik Antonius called in the big blind.

The flop came 8 8 9 and ziigmund bet $5,000. Antonius raised to $18,000 and ziigmund made the call.

The turn came 2. ziigmund checked and Patrik checked through.

The river came the 7; ziigmund checked again and Antonius bet $36,000. ziigmund made the call.

Antonius showed T 9 for two pair, nines and eights, and ziigmund showed J J for two bigger pair, shipping the $114,000 pot and cracking the million-dollar barrier for the first time in online poker history.

ziigmund didn't leave with a million though, dumping back almost $350,000 before quitting the game near the $830,000 mark.
