Canadian poker pro Griffin Benger was going through a rough patch in his poker career leading up to the 2016 World Series of Poker Main Event. He says he didn't have a lot of money and wasn't necessarily in the best place mentally and emotionally to be taking on the biggest poker tournament in the world. Circumstances notwithstanding, Benger decided to use what little space he had left on his credit card to play a $1,000 satellite to the Main Event on 888poker. Benger won the satellite and instead of selling it, decided to go to Las Vegas to play. After roughly 80 hours of poker packed into one week Benger was among the final nine players, guaranteed $1 million with a chance at even more. Benger and the rest of the November Nine will return in about three months and the more players Benger can outlast, the more money he'll win. All the way at the top is the $8 million first-place prize and the title of world champion. Check out the video to hear how Benger got into the Main Event in the first place and check to see how he does at the final table.
