You might think being a high-stakes poker pro is all about big money and lavish luxury but that's not what Germany's Max Altergott is all about. PokerListings spoke to Altergott on a break from the $10,000 WSOP Main Event in Las Vegas and he gave us a taste of the philosophy that's helping him find happiness. According to Altergott it's easy for people to fall into a routine, letting their brain go on autopilot. Unfortunately many people fall into this trap because they're forced to go to the same job day in and day out and they're under a lot of pressure based on other people's expectations of them. As a poker pro, however, Altergott has the freedom to do what he wants, when he wants to do it. He says he's grateful for that freedom, and that it allows him to gain valuable perspective on his life. Max and his girlfriend are expecting their first child and he can't wait.
