PartyPoker also announced this week that it is offering the chance for eight players to attend the Rio de Janeiro Carnival.

From Jan. 12 through 18, players who earn 20 PartyPoints in a day can win a seat to the next day's Rio Carnival tournament. From the daily tournaments, 10 players will move on to the Jan. 20 final.

During that same time period, players who earn 50 PartyPoints in a day will qualify for a seat in the next day's Rio Carnival tournament that will award 25 seats in the final. Or players who earn 750 points between Jan. 12 and 18 will get a seat in the final automatically.

The top eight players in the final will receive an $8,000 prize package that includes five nights' accommodation for two in a four-star hotel, two tickets to one night of the famous Carnival parade, a professional translator, transfers in chauffeur-driven limo and a travel voucher worth $2,200 per couple.

"This is a unique opportunity and a chance in a lifetime," said a spokesman. "Most poker players know the Rio Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas, not Rio de Janeiro in Brazil!" The Rio Carnival runs Feb. 2-5, and there is no cash alternative to this prize.
